I just have one question for you, how did you know what format to use for this particular poem? When you introduce a poem unit into your classroom you can definitely use this as an example to read to the class and shed to light on personal background (student's just love getting a glimpse of your life sometimes). In fact I have the books "Where the Sidewalk Ends", "Falling Up," "The Missing Piece," and "A Light in the Attic." I can clearly see what your inspiration was to write the poem. You did a great job with the Shel Silverstein poem format. I was enjoying it the whole time while I was reading it it was thoroughly entertaining and so relatable. even if I am in a really stinky mood.My laptop crashed, ‘blue screen of death’, I do, however, enjoy reading his poetry because it makes me laugh. Actually, it might just be my favorite children's book overall. My favorite children's book by Sylverstein is The Giving Tree. Jones series and anything written by Shel Silverstien, who has remained my favorite (even above Dr. I simply cannot control where my mind decides to go when I am reading from a book. While teaching Kindergarten, I LOVED reading to my kiddos! I am a bit of a weirdo and I can not read a book without adding voices and character. Instead of trying to attempt a tutorial of any kind, I decided to do something a little more fun!! if you count this as my first for this week.

I made a commitment to myself to write three blog posts this week and I have not published one as of yet.

Yesterday, I was so sick that I neglected all of my responsibilities and decided to binge watch Wicked Tuna on Netflix. Last week, my son was out of school due to STREP and now it seems as though I have also come down with a case of "something" that I do not feel worthy of a Dr.
